Paul Pabst


Paul is an undergraduate and graduate Instructor, teaching sports media and journalism classes. He has been at Sacred Heart University since 2011. He, along with professors Thorne and Miller, created the Sports Communication and Media graduate program.

In addition to teaching, Paul is the Professional Development Coordinator for the SCM graduate program. In this role, he uses his connections from 25 years in sports media to assist graduate students in gaining internships and full-time jobs as they complete the program.

Paul’s career began at CBS Sports and CBS Network News in New York City. In 2000 he joined ESPN as a producer and soon became the Executive Producer of The Dan Patrick Show. This radio/TV show is broadcast on 350 radio affiliates around the country, SIRIUSxm and national television. The show has twice won the Marconi award for radio excellence and was nominated for a Sports Emmy for Best Daily Studio Show in both 2017 and 2018. Paul has written for ESPN the Magazine, Sports Illustrated and many other publications.
